Job description: CK Group are recruiting for a Senior/Principal Scientist to join an antibody discovery and development company near Reading.This role is open to applicants at Senior or Principal level.The Role:This position will be suited to driven candidate with a strong work ethic and the ability to motivate a team. A candidate with cell and molecular biology skills would be desired with an extensive background within In-Vitro Pharmacology – preferably with significant antibody discovery experience.Responsibilities:
- Implement pharmacological and immunological assays in order to characterise antibody candidates.
- Motivate and lead project and laboratory teams.
- Present findings to internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
- Lead antibody discover efforts through antibody generation and target identification strategies.
Qualifications and experience:
- Ph.D in Pharmacology, Immunology or Molecular Biology with at least 10 years of industry experience in In-Vitro Pharmacology in drug discovery – ideally with significant antibody experience.
- Experience with scientific leadership and expertise within pre-clinical drug discovery.
- Strong background in Immunology, cell biology and molecular biology techniques.
- Sound knowledge and history of using data analysis software and statistical methods.
- Excellent knowledge and extensive history of in vitro assay disciplines.
