This perfection is built on a foundation of inclusion, diversity and driving a performance culture that values integrity and ethics.Are you ready to help us make the future?The Sr System Engr II serves as the major technical contributor for software design and certification needs for the engines and power system portfolio of products that includes review and support of certification documents, automation to ease the processes and applying Artificial intelligence techniques.Responsibilities include providing certification guidance and support to E&PS programs, developing, and implementing talent strategies, people development, culture, technical coaching, employee engagement and enabling diversity and inclusion. Implement transformational strategy to reduce cycle time and cost and improve Honeywell’s competitiveness in the marketplace.Skills/Experience Required:· Experienced in developing software plans, software development and software verification as per DO-178B/C, DO-331, and/or DO-254.· Experience of working on programs with FAA regulations for certification/qualification processes related to type certificate (TC) and technical standard order (TSO).· Experience with airplane safety and certification processes.· Experience in automation by programming using Visual Basic, Java, and Python· Good programming Skills· Hands-on experience with the latest technology areas like, Generative Artificial Intelligence, usage of LLMs· Knowledge on system hierarchy of aircraft systems and/or avionics systems and their functionality e.g. aircraft engine, auxiliary power unit, display systems, flight management systems, communication and navigation systems etc.· Familiar with system safety assessment processes ARP-4761.· Familiarity in system development and verification/validation processes.· Familiarity with tool qualification processes as per DO-330.· Familiar with Requirement Management Tools such as DOORS and/or DOORS NG.· Familiarity with problem reporting tools such as Jira, and ClearQuest· Familiar with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and/or similar tools.· Must have customer-centric thinking.· Good leadership skills to coordinate with Global teams.Responsibilities:

  • Work and support on either showing of compliance or finding of compliance roles in accordance with FAA regulations associated with software development.
  • Provide direction to software teams to improve their software development activities (quality, delivery, cost, technical, safety, communication, etc.).
  • Identify risks and opportunities in software life cycle and assist software teams in implementing risk mitigation plans.
  • Participate in program activities, from initial proposal and planning to verification/certification.
  • Review software lifecycle activities and ensure products comply with approved software processes, plans, and standards.
  • Be futuristics in applying Gen AI in certification processes.

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in computer science, computer engineering or electronics & telecommunication Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of working experience in software planning, software development, software verification in DO-178B/C based Aerospace programs
