As an essential team member, you will independently manage projects of varying sizes to support the consistent and efficient management of data across RBC. This role will lead and oversee project management activities to ensure strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope and budget.The Sr Project Manager will follow guidance and oversight on projects/programs supporting data strategies, to ensure on time, on budget delivery, helping business stakeholders meet all benefit commitments and business outcomes. In this role you will contribute to continuous improvement of the Chief Data Office’s teams and capabilities. You will be responsible for building relationships between IT, Vendor, & Business stakeholders across the organization, communicating status, setting a course for success with senior executives and inspiring greatness from the members of project teams, in a matrix environment.What will you do?Project Planning & ExecutionManage project deliverables for Chief Data Office(CDO) teams and capabilities; includes integration of vendor products and in-house applications; lead initiatives supporting new technologies and channels, new product implementation, regulatory change and business efficiency enhancementsDevelop and manage detailed schedules, identify early warning indicators, provide direction for early resolution of risks, issues, and clear escalation path for program committees.Oversee financials and staffing levels to efficiently meet project delivery requirements and tracks value for effective decision-making.Deliver initiatives using appropriate methods, including Agile and Iterative Waterfall; where agile this includes fascilitating daily scrums and other key agile ceremonies.Satisfy multiple stakeholders in a very complex and demanding business and technology environment; Deliver business results on high-profile and business-critical assignmentsLead program management reporting for senior management/executivesResolve complex issues and conflicts, act as a point of escalation and promptly engage executives where required.Review management artefacts(including but not limited to PMA, Business Case, Risk Assessments, PMF/AMF Artefacts, etc) and ensure the programs are structured for success.Integrate the PMF and AMF artifacts used by external programs with the Business Agile artifacts used by CDO management without unnecessary duplication.Continuous Process ImprovementSupport and enhance the CDOs business agile approach of quarterly planning and delivery using Objectives and Key Results(OKRs).Act as a servant leader for delivery teams, while ensuring correct metrics are in place to capture performance and best practices are applied to foster continuous improvement.Enhance Relationships with StakeholdersProvide superior client experience, strengthen relationship with business partners, sponsors and IT Partners.Facilitate relationship with third party consultants to meet program deliverables.Provide Senior Management and executives with timely updates on progress and any program issues.What do you need to succeed?Must-have:Experience managing large transformation programs involving cross-enterprise teams across multiple disciplines and of a business/function unit significance.7+ years project management / scrum master experience.Working knowledge and experience of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies and tools (Jira & Confluence).Experience with project plan development and management, estimation, scheduling methodology, project metrics, analysis, status reporting, and change management.Experience working with Third Party Suppliers (experience working with and managing external suppliers, or having dealt with difficult situations).Experience with MIS and Planview.Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.Solid understanding of product management to facilitate effective backlog prioritization and ensure alignment with both internal teams and external stakeholders.Previous experience working in a related technical or financial services discipline(BA, developer, data engineer, data scientist, etc).Nice-to-haveProject Management Professional (PMP)/)/Certified Product Owner (CSPO) CertificationExperience reviewing artifacts, including code reviews (application and test automation scripts)Experience using SDLC, QE and DevOps tools (JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, UurbanCodeDeploy, qTest etc.QA implementations using Agile methodologyFamiliarity with data analytics and metrics to guide product decisions.Experience in collaborating with Product Managers to interpret data insights which supports continuous improvement in agile processes and the delivery of data-related solutions.Experience in the Data Governance tools like Collibra, InformaticaWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge of being our best, progressive thinking, continuing to grow, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
