In the Financial Services team, we support the Group’s strategy of building tomorrow’s bank today for our customers, through a focus on three key priorities of trust, resilience and capital generation. Financial Services partner with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice, support and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy and investor relations.The PMO & Investment Oversight team resides within Group Finance, and the team comprises a mix of the following:Financial Services subject matter experts deployed directly into PACE crews and squad teams to provide leadership in delivery management, Product Ownership, Requirements & Technical Analysis, Development, and User Acceptance Testing.Group PMO specialists providing decision support to the Group CFO by continually monitoring, analysing and providing insights on the efficiency, efficacy and yield of the +$2b invested annually to delivery our strategy.Your roleAs a Group PMO Senior Manager, you will be joining a team of cross-functional and multi-disciplinary subject matter experts (SMEs) with a strong background in financial services industry commercial due diligence, change delivery management and administration, data management, operational risk management, and artificial intelligence.You and the Group PMO will aim to supply best practice decision support on change via:Ensuring that a robust prioritisation and due diligence process is consistently undertaken on the Group’s investment spend, including assessing the strategic alignment of prioritised initiatives.Use empirical evidence to independently assess each quarter the efficiency, efficacy, and yield of the Group’s investment spend across all Business Units (BUs) and Support Units (SUs).Continually improving, developing and promoting best practice due diligence and reporting processes both within Group functions as well as BUs and SUs.Building and maintaining productive relationships with BU Finance teams, Group and BU Strategy teams, as well as PACE Central and the BU and SU PMO teams.Contributing to and enhancing the team culture and work environment of the Group PMO team, Group Finance and Financial Services.Undertaking any other tasks assigned by the Group CFO which can be competently and safely performed.Your experienceWe are interested in hearing from people who have:An appetite for solving complex business problems, often dealing with uncertainty in a rapidly changing environment.Strong commercial skills and business acumen to assess the key aspects and value drivers in respect to the Group’s change investment spend, and how these affect the organisation.Ability to form an independent and balanced view on difficult situations, and support with evidence and critical thinking.Ability to test and learn to drive insights.Senior executive stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship building skills, that enable constructive working relationships and outcomes across the Group.The ability to communicate with clarity, both verbally and when leveraging the MS Office toolkit including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.A natural curiosity and risk mindset to help proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.7+ years of relevant experience including excellent tertiary academic results.Working with usWe support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in our office.
