Responsibilities: Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine product concepts. Create detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software. Construct high-quality prototypes using a variety of materials and techniques, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly. Test and analyze prototype performance against design specifications. Document the prototyping process, including challenges, solutions, and improvements. Assist in sourcing materials and components for prototypes and final product development. Participate in design review meetings, providing constructive feedback and innovative solutions. Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure prototypes align with production capabilities and constraints. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in a design engineering role, with a focus on prototyping. Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar. Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage time effectively on multiple projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with electronics and integrating them into mechanical designs is a plus. Experience with prototyping technologies and tools, including 3D printers, CNC machines, and various hand tools. Familiarity with simulation software for design validation.
