Job description: Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting within Henley Business School is seeking to appoint a 2-year fixed-term post-doctoral fellow in the field of business data analytics. This post is particularly suited for early-career researchers who are interested in advancing research and teaching experience. In addition to advancing research, the successful candidate will undertake teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on business data analytics within the wide subject area of digital business and data analytics, with associated responsibilities in administration and collaborative research.Applicants are normally expected to have been awarded a doctorate within the last three years; however, those who had a career break during this period will also be considered.Main duties and responsibilities :The post involves a combination of academic research, teaching and administration as agreed with the Head of Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting (BISA).The appointee is expected to:

  • Conduct research in the broad area of data analytics, including data analytics for business, data science, business intelligence, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning;
  • Teach a range of modules in the broad area of business informatics as agreed by the Head of Business Informatics, Systems and Accounting (BISA);
  • Take on administrative duties and academic citizenship activities appropriate for his/her expertise and experience.
